Hi,

I'm wondering if you can help. I'm new to this and might be missing something so apologies if I am...

I have created a menu item on the Primary Links up the top and assigned it to a newly created role. When I login with a user associated to that role it appears and disappears when I log out.
If I have the item expanded and a menu item underneath it when I log out the item still appears.

Am i missing something in the config that is not allowing me to hide this nested menu when logged out?

Thanks,

Alan.

just set the same access restrictions to the child-menu item and it should disappear too.

Hi,

I have tried to summarise my problem in the attachment along with screenshots.
Hope it makes sense.

Thanks,

Alan.

Hi fago,

I have tried the steps it still doesn't seem to disappear when I am logged out.

Maybe this link instead of the word doc might help? - http://www.alancrookes.com/Drupal%20Issue.htm

Let me know if this helps or if there's any other way I can show you what I'm trying to explaon.

Alan.

ah, sry I think I forgot about this one.

usually this problems appear, if there are several menu items pointing to the same path. Make sure that your item is the only one that points to this path of the staying menu item and try again.

This is 3 years old... I'm closing it. Hopefully you'll be able to upgrade to 6.x and get that resolved. There are no 5.x maintainers.

sorry
this is 5x and am working on 6x .......

sd.ahsan,

Yes. That's because it was in 5.x that I closed it... It was open in 2007 and no one is working on this version.

If you have a similar problem in 6.x you may want to make sure to test as a user other than UID = 1 (the main admin user sees everything in version 6.x-1.8).

Thank you.
Alexis
