I have about 200 pictures in my Picasa gallery. Is it normal for it to load the thumbnails slowly? Problem is, I have to wait for all the thumbnails to load before my clicked picture loads.

Sorry, too little info given to be able to investigate. Speed depends on a number of things, particularly original size of the images, their number (200 is not much), whether caching works properly, etc.

Try the latest version of the module and re-open with more details in case you run into the problem again.
