justinchev commentedYeah all I get is a blank as the first option on all child dropdowns (besides in the first parent taxonomy terms dropdown list). This does function as the -any- option would, but it would be great if it could at least say -any- from a UI perspective. I'm also using Views3.
Anyone know how I can get it to show some text rather than being a blank?

justinchev commentedOk I've made a little progress on sorting this out... if you 'Enable level labels' you can add titles to these blank first options. Problem now is that the very first 'parent' dropdown option is then duplicated ie. you get two -any- options. I'm probably going to try and remove one of these one's via jQuery, but this is obviously a hacky solution.
Ideally I would set the blank option to default to -any- so I don't need to set any 'level labels'.

justinchev commentedOk here is a solution... remove the 'Optional' preference from your filter and only the 'Level labels' will show up. I imagine this will cause problems for people who have multi-select search options but it fixes my probs.

justinchev commentedAnd here is a new problem... BTW I haven't set 'remember' or anything like that on my filter but when I do a search and then go back and select the -any- option it reverts to the previous search path.
For example search dropdown's journey was opt1>opt-a>-any- do the search, I then try opt1>opt-b>-any- and search, it automatically reverts back to the opt1>opt-a>-any- search options...ie. the actual dropdown options revert to that.
