what is the best Drupal book/website?

WillPowers - March 29, 2007 - 23:04

I am new to Drupal, I want to learn how to create simple and efficient sites using it, primarily to: 1) Blog 2) organize and show media and 3) create story pages/books online. I have learned c++/html and frequently use photoshop and sometimes dreamweaver, but sadly no php or drupal experience. What book(s) should I read? And/or what websites should I visit?

Thanks in advance,
Will Powers

for your basic requirements,

for your basic requirements, you should just be able to add/activate the right modules and go. No PHP should be needed (and ditch Dreamweaver).

many of the best resources are right here- note that if you want to do any development of new modules for Drupal, you'll need to spend some time learning the API:

Don't forget the standalone lessons-only site for dd, DrupalDojo.com. I can't wait for Chx's session this weekend. :D
