Trying to add language meta tag

I'm trying to add a new tag (language) to my node type.
In meta data quick manage field I add a filed of type meta. In "mata name" I place "Language".

The in manage field of my node type I add the above created field.

Now I open one of my existing node. I see the filed, I fill it and save the node.

The resulting page, however, doesn't have that meta tags attached (I can see the others but not the one I created manually).

What am I missing?
