I know that there has been no further development on this project. My version 6 site has developed a problem that I cannot seem to resolve ( http://www.nazarene.net/drigg_home ). As a result I am attempting a migration to Drupal 7 and conversion of data. Does anyone know how to convert the drigg scoops to conventional nodes? I created a content type scoop, but there are links all over the data (over 16K entries) back into drigg forms and data types.

I want to give a similar experience, but so far the test site is not going as needed. When I look at the data in content manager, the data does not appear to have an assigned type. Not sure how to fix that, or what fields need to be added to the content type as that appears to have been built into the drigg module functionality.

With the Drigg module being dropped from active production, this is likely to be an issue for many users.

I have the same issue, I am waiting for the Drupal 7 version of this module, but, it seems that the project is dead, is that so? or what is going on since it is only avaliable for drupal 5 and in 6 is under development (red branch) and it seems that Netzarim is using it and is not working right.

Can someone let us know when it will be the version for Drupal 7 or if the project is dead since it seems that there no changes since February of this year?

I am very interested on this project, where I can get more info about it?

There haven't been changes since before February per code commits. The reason the -dev release was updated in februrary was because of the shift to git. see: http://drupal.org/node/190927/commits

Which means there has been no developer commits to the code since Nov 2010

A search of the issue queue found http://drupal.org/node/468182 which seems to be the last communication from the previous original developer who was looking for a new maintainer. A deeper search of the queue finds several issues asking for and about new maintainers.

And yet a deeper search of the forums turns up http://drupal.org/node/357941 which is the original developer leaving the drupal community.

As such, I'd consider this module abandoned and a dead end.

Thanks for the info Vm, it really sucks because its a really cool proyect that i bet a lot of sites follow and a lot of users are interested, how come there is no one who takes over the project it really dissapoints me.

Where I can download the source code, I would like to see it I can take over the proyect, if I am allowed of course.

So, netzarim, what is the status of your site so far?

Yeah, from other posts, it does seem to be a problem for quite a few existing users, and wanna-be users (like myself) ..

Question is:
what are we going to do about it? Can we not come together and have a go at a new project to replace the functionality of drigg? .. I say this tongue-in-cheek, because I don't yet have sufficient experience in drupal to lead a project like this, and thus need more experienced people to lead the project .. But others can participate, even in raising interest amongst the senior/core drupal developers ..

What do you reckon? Can you participate in a project like this? What is your drupal experience level?
