Display image position improper

I'm using 7.9 core and the views & ctools module are up to date. I currently am using 'Garland' as a theme. The position of the image being displayed is too high, it is on top of the next and previous links. Is it possible to change the position of this? What is the approach to correct this? I examined the css file in the modules directory but I could not even see where the position is set. What is the container's name? or is this the wrong approach?
