Wondering what is meant by "operation mode" when defining a new delta template.
The only reference I can find is in the Omega Handbook: Your first Delta Snapshot.
By default “Override all values” is selected. For most all use-cases now you will want to leave this setting alone. If you have a reason to set it otherwise you will know why.
It is sadly uninformative and appears to be wrong, since with version 7.x-3.0-beta9 the default is "Only override different values".
Presumably this setting also relates to the message:
This template operates in Preserve mode.
when configuring a template?
Love to know what this refers to.
Thanks for your time.

JoeAndrieu commentedI have the same question. "This template operates in Preserve mode" appears in the delta settings for my new template, but I can't find documentation as to what that actually means.

Delfio2d2 commentedHi.
I guess it means that the values not overriden are preserved from the original, but.. just a guess.
Greetings.

matt.rad commentedDelfio2d2 is correct. When you edit your Delta template, you can choose whether it will override everything ("override mode") or just the stuff that you change ("preserve mode").
