From what I can tell, there is no 3rd party module providing this functionality for Drupal 7. Considering the popularity of this module or Links Package, will the existing port ever get fixed? My site has been without links for over 6 months, kind of a bummer. Is there a major roadblock? Can other developers get involved? Thank you - please don't read this as a complaint, I'm trying to decide if I should "start over" yet again and go back to version 6 at this point. There's just too much missing or broken in D7.

Azrael256 commentedDo you have an idea of about when we should expect a preliminary/beta version for D7? Like is it a matter of weeks, months, or should we not expect if for 2012?
I'm wondering because the latest D7-dev version ages back from 2011 and I have no idea how much progress has been done since then, so I was wondering if maybe we were close from seeing something?
I hope it gets released soon because this module has been really useful on a (D6) site and has no serious competitor.

shunting commentedI second the motion. Every module is now ready for me to port many thousands of posts to D7... But this one.
And it's a great module that my users really like. I can certainly help with testing.

summit commentedHi,
Would love to see Web Links ported to D7 also.
I am already a couple of years using Web Links. It got a lot of love, and I would certainly help testing the D7 version.
At least an upgrade path to D7 otherwise is needed. What do I do with my sites using weblinks on D6 for years now?
Thanks a lot for considering D7 upgrade!
Greetings,
Martijn

summit commentedHi,
I think we have to follow this thread instead http://drupal.org/node/870846, because that one is the official tread for D7 port.
Would love to see this happening!
