I had this Views Slideshow set up, but instead of scrolling, it would just show all the slides next to each other or below each other. The Cycle wouldn't scroll the content.

Turned out I had the following setting checked in the used Field (just an image field in my case):

Multiple field settings:
Display all values in the same row

Unchecking that setting solved it.

Posting this in case someone else runs into this.
