I'm looking for a way to implement a fine-grained per-user, per-field permission system in D7. Would it be possible to make this module work together with ACL so you could have a per-user access to fields?

As support for D7 draws to a close, the scope for D7 field permissions isn't likely to be expanding any time soon, and given the age of this issue, I'm closing.
