The module is uc_authorizenet_multi (sandboxed) and is being sold here by Drupal user crossmedia. You can even view this comment on the project application page by crossmedia.
Any recommendations on what to do? This violates both the spirit and the law of GPLv2 and goes against the very reason why I contributed this module to Drupal.

Sorry, how does this violate the GPLv2?

True if the crossmedia wrote the module, however I wrote the module and released it. That a user is selling what I wrote seems to be in contradiction with GPLv2. See clause 2-b:
You must cause any work that you distribute or publish, that in whole or in part contains or is derived from the Program or any part thereof, to be licensed as a whole at no charge to all third parties under the terms of this License.

You'll also notice on their website it says "Our custom made multi authorize. net module currently support....", which also violates clause 1: You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's source code as you receive it, in any medium, provided that you conspicuously and appropriately publish on each copy an appropriate copyright notice and disclaimer of warranty; keep intact all the notices that refer to this License and to the absence of any warranty; and give any other recipients of the Program a copy of this License along with the Program.

Wow. This is unbelievable. Have you contacted the individual who is selling it?

Re: A Drupal user is selling downloads of a module I wrote $49
Hi, Let me clearify you.
1- I would like to notify that i am charging for support, configuration and installation of this module and for your kind information this is not violation of any copyrights law.
2- I have the better one codded myself, if someone is interested please let me know i will send you the complete code and you may compare it with the one already exists.
3- Charging to your clients for any open source development, customization, integration, installation and configuration is not a violation of any copyright/GPL.
4- If this is the case then all open source including drupal, joomla, wordpress they should ban any customization and chages in their code.
Please let me know if i am wrong anywhere and still if its not acceptable for World Wide Web Community i will remove every thing.
Selling is allowed
To 1; You are allowed to charge for rj's module itself (a distribution charge) under the license chosen by the module author as long as you do not charge extra for providing the source and do not claim copyright on the original.
As long as you do not obfuscate the module (eg ioncube), the distribution includes the source.
The above assumes you distribute rj's module or a modification. If the module you sell is a new implementation (as you indicate in 2) you are the copyright holder.
See the Licensing faq for more information.

There are three issues here ... 1st, you originally said YOUR firm created the module. This is not true. Your firm should attribute the original author.
2nd, customizations are also GPL code. While you are allowed to sell it, anyone can take that source code and distribute it freely.
3rd.. your actions run counter to the drupal ecosystem. We (the community) spend countless hours writing software that YOU GET TO USE FOR FREE. Our ecosystem works because people contribute back their customizations, modules, etc.
So yea, you can sell it. But you must attribute the original author, and you shouldn't be surprised when someone buys your customizations and puts it in an issue queue for all to see. Also, don't expect this press to get you any help from the community.
