I just updated this module, however, i get this error:
Call to undefined function theme_add_style() in /.../acidfree.module on line 233

I had to upload an earlier version to make my gallery work.

I think you downloaded the wrong version. Acidfree-5 doesn't call theme_add_style. Only Acidfree-4.6 and Acidfree-4.7.
