What is happening is once the image has been cropped to an area tall and thin with no parameter in the Aspect Ratio and save. If you then edit the image style and add CROP to the Aspect Ratio, when editing the image crop again, the ratio is fixed to the tall and thin ratio (100 x 300) set from the previous cropping, not the dimensions set in the Image Style

Create an image style
615 Height x 300 Width
X and Y offset UN-CHECKED
Resizable toolbox CHECKED
Do not allow down scaling UN-CHECKED
Aspect ratio is left blank
Don't crop if cropping region wasn't set UN-CHECKED

Edit the node and adjust the croping area and save.

Edit the Style so the Aspect ratio is CROP

Edit the node and adjust the cropping area: Cropping Aspect ratio is fixed to the previous cropping area. NOT the dimensions set in the Image Style

I guess that "Reset the already cropped images to the new width and height" is there to solve this problem BUT, checking this box and saving the style.

Problem When editing the style again this box is Un_Checked again? no matter what or how i save this selection as checked, it is always unchecked???

The aspect ratio is indeed used from the previous crop. This is wrong when you left aspect ratio blank before. I'll check to fix this.

The checkbox "Reset the already cropped images to the new width and height" is used when people change the height / width, and don't have scaling enabled. All crop settings needs to be reset, to the new width / height. Some people don't want this. Thats why this is a checkbox.
It will always be unchecked when loading the form.
