Hi,
After playing around with different scenarios here the results:
All tests has run by real paypal accounts.
1.)
Anonymous user put some files in the cart and go checkout. Choose paypal method get redirect to paypal, login and pay.
Redirect back to store, login and find his order on status "pending" and of course no files to download.
So the admin has to change the status from "pending" to "complete" manually. Then the user find his files ready to download.
2.)
Some where on drupal.org I have found the hint to check the rules "Update the order status on checkout completion" and change the default setting
from "pending" to "complete". So I did
Then after another checkout the paypal redirect back to store fails:
"The requested page "/checkout/47/payment/return/XAkuXdaFLIRlFTj14m2INtuiBmSkVi6mECZi0arAWeM" could not be found."
Then when the user login in his account he would find the order status "complete" but no files to download.
3.)
If the user is login already and proceed a checkout everything works fine. The paypal redirect is correct and the file license is ready to download.
The conclusion so far: only login users can purchase a digital product.
Is this correct or is this a bug or did I something wrong?
Please help me out.
Kirk
