Issue Summary
The footnotes module is great (thank you maintainers, you saved me from soooo much pain) but what I really miss is the possibility go group footnotes. See, I have articles about Japanese texts and translations and have to explain some phrases as well as provide sources. Sometimes the explanations become quite lengthy and just don't fit into a traditional "footnote" stereotype which in my mind is a brief reference to some book or website rather than thorough explanation of some Japanese legend or something of that kind. I just thought how great it would be if one could write article like this:
Foobar is a mix[fn group="explanations"]A mix is a strongly intertwined matter[/fn] of Foo and Bar created by Alice and Bob[fn group="sources"]Alice Doe and Bob Woe, On Mixing Foos and Bars, 2012, p. 345[/fn].
And get the footnotes grouped, i.e. first come all "explanations" and then go all "sources", or one might write [footnotes group="sources"/] and get them printed... Just thought it would be great.
