Hello,

I am using Display suite 7.x.1.4 an had seen this screencast:

There was a "add a ctools field"- but I can not see it on my Version.
Please can anyone explain where I can activate this?

It has been renamed to 'Dynamic field'. Make sure also to select a layout first to see those buttons on the manage display screen. Or go to admin/structure/ds/fields and then you'll see 'Add a dynamic field' as a link as well.
