I have certain user that are specified as sales people. Each sales person has a subset of taxonomy terms that are based on regions on a map. Most have 5 or more regions. The nodes that contain the same regions from the same taxonomy have only one of the taxonomy regional terms.

Another complicating issue is that the view is being shown at the user's profile using a proper path and menu type. The filter is not to be based on the logged in user but the user profile being viewed.

Example:

Regions Nodes Users
R01 NodeA User#1
R02 NodeB User#2
R03 NodeC User#3
R04 NodeD User#4
R05 NodeE
R06 NodeF
R07 NodeG
R08 NodeH
R09 NodeI
this Node has this Region
NodeA R01
NodeB R02
NodeC R03
NodeD R04
NodeE R05
NodeF R06
NodeG R07
NodeH R08
NodeI R09
this User has these Regions and should see only these Nodes
User#1 R01, R02, R03 NodeA, NodeB, NodeC
User#2 R04, R05 NodeD, NodeE
User#3 R06, R07, R08 NodeF, NodeG, NodeH
User#4 R09 NodeI

The users with a 'sales role' will only be able to see their own profile. A 'manager role' will be able to see all profiles so that they can manage the nodes, the regions and the users. When those managerial users look at a profile and open the view they must see only the nodes filtered by that user's profile region taxonomy.

My search for a solution has become mired in so may postings for views and taxonomy. Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to approach this or where I might even begin to narrow my search for a solution.
