I have been following the youtube videos as instructions on how to use this module. I liked them and thought I was ready to dive in until I found out that "add custom fields" tab on the manage display field is not showing. I thought maybe I had the wrong version of DS but from the videos you can't see the version he's using. So I tried with a clean install with both DS 7.x-1.2 and DS 7.x-1.4 and CTools but it all appeared the exact same. I don't know who to ask, where to read information as the book pages not really showing you how to install. Well, I thought that a good video would do as well but here I am. Please let me know how I can see the link with "add custom fields" . Thank you so much!

You need to select a layout first, than those tabs will show up.

Apologies. I really didn't know that the layout had to be activated first. In part 2 of your video (0:42) you didn't actually mention that you first had to choose a layout before you could add fields but in your case it showed up already. That's the thing that confused me and also because I couldn't find anything related to operation of the module in the read me. I'm just starting out with this module but it looks really promising. Maybe after I get well acquainted with this module you could allow me to write some notes to put in the read me?
