Hi
I have to convert this site into drupal: http://www.masterlabs.net/
The main challenge for me is the theme. So far I have been creating themes with Artisteer, but it seems to me that this site will require something more flexible.
I have a bit experience with CSS, but I am no expert.
Will Zen or Fusion will be a good starting point?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
Shay.

I believe lullabot has a primer video on theming (google it). A little bit of php is required. Also, I use a combination of Panels, Semantic Views, and Display Suite to make things a bit easier.
Responsive is best, forget the rest
I may be biased, but hey, I'm allowed to be :)
http://drupal.org/project/adaptivetheme - you don't need anything more for a modern, easy to build Drupal 7 theme.
Pimp your Drupal 8 Toolbar - make it badass.
Adaptivetheme - theming system for people who don't code.
