I have successfully configured a video import using the vimeo.api All titles and descriptions aggregate well into my site.

Ideally, I would like to embed the video into the node by mapping the URL into some form of media field.

So far I have tried installing both the media/embed video modules and another one titled "Video Embed Field". Either of these will work to embed video, however, it seems that when a node is created with a media field, both modules utilize some form of widget rather than a plain text field to receive their input. It would appear that the use of a widget blocks the feeds module from allowing me to map the URL into the media widget. Does anybody have a solution to this that would allow me to properly aggregate my video list from Vimeo without needing to leave my site for viewing?
