active class doesn't appear

As the slides change the pager item corresponding to the active slide should have be given the class "active" and correspondingly the class should disappear when the next pager item is the active slide
This class appears with the standard field pager, but not with simple counter

I also notice that the inline javascript "Drupal.viewsSlideshowSimplePager = Drupal.viewsSlideshowPagerFields || {};" isn't being added
