Slideshow - no text inside pager

I have a slideshow with pager, but the pager displays no text and no link. I have set the pager field to display a label (named "test") to check if it will display it, too.
This is how my slideshow pager looks like in HTML:

There label is displayed for the pager, but the pager itself not. It should display <a> tag inside the .views-content-field-pager div.

In Pager settings, I have set the pager to be a bottom windget, and Pager Fields has Content: Pager checkbox checked.

What may be the reason of not displaying the pager link?
