Yet another post, I am sorry about that, although I've read several posts about the same subject I'd like to receive any updated insight of any specific provider.
Now I am interested in experiences with either VPS accounts or Dedicated Servers, both Managed and Linux. I am looking for server monitoring, reliable backups, security and uptime on its servers, as well as the money involved.
So, any actual experience with this? Is Xen vs UML and important subject when deciding on the company? I got to unixshell.com, which is out of data space and forwards you to tektonic.com, just got off a live chat asking for technical questions about their services but couldn't get anything substancial out of them.

we're hosting a very active drupal powered website with Liquid Web
their service is really good, though a bit expensive. we are having a fully managed vps for 100$ a month. however, they do have a fully managed dedicated server for as low as 149 a month currently. if you can afford them, they are really very good.

Recommendation
I like Hub. They have very reasonable VPS plans starting at 5.99 and going up.
I am just starting to develop a low-traffic Drupal site that I haven't optimized so I can't really say how fast your site will run on their plans. I do know that on the second-cheapest plan, I run a resource-intensive java CMS without incident. They are not a large operation. The guy who runs everything, Marc, is really helpful and capable. It's pretty no frills in the way of Control Panels and such, though I think they are offering something like that with some of the plans.

I have a number of Drupal sites on VPS, Dedicated servers and some on shared hosting (some low traffic sites on my reseller account).
Their customer service is top notch and they have treated me very well. They recently built a custom server for one of my clients and provided very good service in setting it up and performace tuning for his high traffic drupal sites.
