I would like to suggest few things for the dev of Acidfree 5.x-1.x

It would be great to have urls like -www.abc.com/username/album for that user created albums. This will help users to promote their pictorial work and would look very personalized and clean.

When an album is created, there is no link on that page to upload images. I think the flow should be, create album / upload images / edit ( to edit album and images ).
Then we need a functionality to add more upload boxes ( like in Gallery2 ) and to bulk upload images in zip file.

In the profile page if the thumbnails of the albums could be shown it would look really nice.

I hope my suggestions would be beneficial in the dev of this project.

1) You can probably do this with Pathauto. But keep in mind that not all albums are user created. As a matter of fact, on my site, none are created directly by the users - they are done by the admins.

2) I tend to agree with this, and this is one reason why I don't have user-created albums. The one time I tested allowing that, the user couldn't figure it out. I think the AcidFree quick links block might help a little.

3) This would require changes to the Profile module, but probably not big ones. But what about users who don't have albums?

Acidfree is not in the business of creating url aliases. Try path pathauto. Although I don't think it will do what you want right out of the box...

From the user's profile page, if they have a per-user album, there is already a link that points to their album.

As far as workflow goes, the 'Acidfree add item quick links' block is what you want. If enabled, it will appear any time you are on an acidfree related page (other than the admin stuff). From there, you have instant links to add items (and albums) to the current album as well as mass import. In addition, there is a mass import link in the local task tabs at the top of the album (if the use has permission to do so).

Regarding 'Acidfree add item quick links' block, I enabled it and got the required links at the desired places. Thanks.

One thing I would like to know, in 'Acidfree add item quick links' block can I change the text that says "Add Acidfree Items". Users get confused as to what is AcidFree. I need simple text like "Create Album" and "Upload Image"

There is a module (locale?) that lets you translate strings. As far as the block title goes, you can edit that directly with the blocks interface. Click on configure on the row in the list of blocks.
