dharmatech commentedTheo,
I'm not sure what the UC CiviCRM Products module does, but UC CiviCRM only works for new transactions. Be sure to visit the settings page to configure the contribution type, group, etc. Please consider sponsoring the functionality for processing previous transactions if it's important to you.

theorichel commentedI am very much willing to consider any sponsoring, but the business model of Drupal/Civicrm is usually so that you either get a module for free or you bear the whole cost of its development. I find the first one ridiculous, work should be paid, but the second usually ends up being way to expensive. What would adding this functionality cost?
dharmatech commentedI'd estimate $1500-$2000 USD.
I absolutely agree with your assessment of the business model for Drupal/CiviCRM. Civi has implemented a "Make-It-Happen" campaign where a feature that is not directly inline with core development but still useful for more than one person can be funded and developed.

theorichel commentedThanks, that amounts to my monthly salary, so it proves my point, but I am not going to whine about it and see if I can realise something through the Make It Happen campaign. But allow me: this is not an extremely popular module with only 84 installs. Say you would release a new version and offer that for 35 US$. If only half of your user base would buy it wouldnt that then be attractive? I am in no position of telling you what to do, of course not, but I am curious, what witholds you?

dharmatech commentedMy point of bringing up the Make-It-Happen was to demonstrate how a collection of people can pool their resources together to bring their pet projects to fruition. If it's an important feature to you, you have several options.
If someone else writes this feature for you, provide the patch and I'll bring it into the code base. This allows others to take advantage of the feature, just as you, me and everyone else has benefited from the work of others.
If you want to get into a FLOSS debate or have a philosophical discussion about getting paid for work in a community driven open source project, either email me directly or take it somewhere else. It doesn't belong on the issue tracker.
