Hi I'm a new user and I tried to install drupal 7 n my website at http://www.expo2015-italy.com/druped but I get this error
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@expo2015-italy.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log."
The provider php settings is version 5.3.10 and I set PHP.ini personalization to Drupal optimization
Before I had successfully uploaded all files and made a copy of the default.settings.php renaming it to settings.php but I cannot access the installation.
I made permission to all folders and files to 666 going with filezilla to the "druped" folder and settings 666 for all folders and files, but still nothing.
This is the log error I found on the webserver administration panel
"[Sun Feb 19 17:54:34 2012] [alert] [client 88.149.239.181] /web/htdocs/www.expo2015-italy.com/home/druped/.htaccess: Option Indexes not allowed here"
Can someone help me to understand because I'm not an experienced programmer and I don't know how to proceed any further

Also one of the most common is not having uploaded .htaccess. Look at the .htaccess file (if there is one) in your document root (which appears to be ~/home/druped/) and make sure it is the file supplied with Drupal.
Also some files may need to be executable. Normally 755. http://drupal.org/node/244924

Yes, htaccess.php is present and is the same I ave on my local folder before uploading.
I checked and the files and folders are all in 777 that gives permission to read/write/execute to all the options
and file php.ini looks like this

Maybe someone will correct me if that is bad advice.
Better advice may be to contact your hosting company and tell them that they need to change the Apache configuration, since their server is not currently suitably configured for hosting Drupal.

Thank you for support me but I made the change you suggested to add the # but nothing happened.
I wrote to my provider and wait for some news...if they don't solve it soon I can install the drupal 6.2 with their installer and see if it works so I can make exercise with that older version.

Hi,
After your suggestion I opened a ticket with my provider and just now they fix the problem.
It was in the .htaccess they commented this line to solve it
Options +FollowSymLinks
I wish it can be useful to someone this solution.
