Quotation marks cause chat to crash

Hi,

I'm running drupal 4.7.x on an IIS 6.0 server with PHP 5.1.4.

If a message is entered that uses quotations marks, IE reports an error on the page and then that chat will no longer work for any user trying to enter that chat. Single quotes seem to work fine, it is only the double quotes that cause the problem.

For instance if I were to type:

And then he said, "I like it"

This will cause the error.
