I posted this over in the BOA group realizing that this is more of a support request.

Since day one, I have been one of the biggest fans of your work on BOA. And I have had some great success deploying Drupal in to the world as a result of it. With that said, please excuse the apparent newbie question; As I follow the issues queue and code commits on Github, it is not clear to me if the critical fixed issues are added to the current stable release or are they only in Dev or Head? And is Head considered Dev? This question comes from the point that I usually end up having to redeploy a BOA build from scratch after there have been some critical issues fixed post the current stable release...Thanks again for all your awesome work!

Peace,
Michael Clendening

Title: How bug fixes/patches are applied to the current BOA stable release » Are bug fixes/patches applied to the current BOA stable release?

New fixes, even critical are added only in HEAD, never in stable, because stable is a static export based on release tag - we started tagging releases with BOA-1.4S, see: https://github.com/omega8cc/nginx-for-drupal/tags

There was only one little exception: http://drupal.org/node/1445460#comment-5625046

If you wish to apply fixes available in HEAD, you can simply upgrade to the current HEAD, there is no need to start from scratch! While it is not recommended, it should work, as HEAD is tested almost daily to make sure it is not broken and soon will be tested automatically after every commit, so it will be pretty safe to use.

Thanks for your kind words!

Very nice, as usually, thanks for the quick response! As a small contribution, we will continue to provide feedback on anything that is specific to Ubuntu Lucid running on ESXi VMWare.
