This module looks like it might be just the thing for some client needs. We will need to do some tests.
The fact that it is currently for notifications-6.x-2.1 will allow it to be used in conjunction with og-6.x-2.x so that may be a plus.
Thanks for sharing this.

izmeez commentedTesting this module with messaging-6.x-2.4 notifications-6.x-2.3 and og-6.x-2.2 and it seems to work
but appears to need work.It does support modify of users default send method and/or interval.
However, it does not appear to support bulk modify of send method and/or interval for existing subscriptions for users. Without this it will not allow fully changing settings needed on an existing site. Can this be done?[edit]
I see now that the module does support updating existing subscriptions, under the manage subscriptions menu item. It does not support selecting all existing subscriptions at once, only those visible at a time. But, nonetheless it does do the job.
I would encourage you release this module as a 6.x module right away and add the 7.x when ready.
Thanks very much.

izmeez commentedThank you. This module adds some useful features to notifications-6.x-2.x and if possible should be released as notifications_utils-6.x-2.x to align the numbering with the branches in notifications and messaging.

cgmonroe commentedSorry for delay.. thought I had this set up to get new issues but didn't... anyway.
If I understand what you are saying correctly, this may be do to using an older version of the views bulk operations module. I believe older versions only let you select items on the current page. I know with 6.12, you can select either "all (this page)" or "all (all pages)".

izmeez commentedI may not have been very clear on the point regarding changing existing subscriptions for users. I think this is actually handled by the notifications module itself rather than your module. It appears under admin/messaging/subscriptions/admin and it does not appear to use VBO. It would be a great addition if that was added as a function under VBO through your module. And yes indeed VBO does work as you describe.
The notifications_utils module changes the users default method and interval and includes the ability for any changes to the users interval to be applied to all their subscriptions. So maybe I should have set that first in the settings for the notifications_utils module and then used VBO to change the users default interval then maybe it would have changed all the existing user subscription intervals. If that is the case an addition to the documentation might be helpful. If you are not sure of the answer to this approach I will have to consider creating a test setup.
Thanks.

cgmonroe commentedUnfortunately no, I all my "contrib" cycles have been eaten up by working on getting a 6.x-1.0-RC1 release out for ldap_integration project.
#1475272: 6.x-1.0 Release Candidate 1 Status
This is being finalized and hopefully this will let me get back to this project. :)

jvieille commentedIs this version http://drupal.org/node/1364066#comment-5381234 the last one?
If not, is it possible to post the module in addition to the git link?

cgmonroe commentedUnfortunately, sandbox projects can't create releases like full projects can. However, I've create the issue below to supply "releases". The project home page also points to this.
