I don't mean to remove the normal Drupal Registration Form, but only to add those form elements to the Node Ownership Form.

Currently its setup like this:

1. Fill out Drupal Registration Form
2. Sign into site
3. Click on, Claim this Node
4. Fill out the Node Ownership Form
5. Wait for response.
6. Edit the node.

By integrating the Drupal Registration Form Elements into Node Ownership Form:

1. Click on, Claim this Node
2. Fill out the new Integrated Node Ownership Form/Drupal Registration Form.
3. Wait for response.
4. Edit the node.

If anyone has any ideas on how this can be done, it would be great to hear from you.

I plan to create this workflow for a current project of mine. However, I believe that the implementation may be too specific to translate into an actual module feature. I'll post instructions once complete. This will be Drupal 7 relevant.

I've added this feature to 7.x-1.x in the git repo.
