I have installed user relationship module and have enable to show links on author pane but it's not showing the add friend link!. Am I missing something else?

Please check User Relationships issue queue also. There is a issue there #1217908: Undefined variable: relationship in user_relationships_preprocess_author_pane().

You might have to use the latest dev versions of AP and UR to get it to work.
