After enable "Manage form display" not work Date Popup ( http://drupal.org/project/date ) and hide button Save. Please see screen shots.

How are you enabling the date picker for the Authored on field ? Are you using the Date Popup Authored module, or hook_form_alter() eg. #471942: Use Date Popup on 'Authored on' field?
