I know that having the end date default to the start date has been discussed elsewhere but specifically just for the date popup, it would be good if when the end date field is empty and the start date field is not, the popup for the end date should default to the start date.

For example if you enter a start date of 11th November 2012 and then click into the end date it is silly that the default be something like todays date when it obviously has to be a date after the start date.
Then the user has to navigate through the popup to november again and gets annoyed.

Whenever I'm booking travel or accommodation or something all but the dodgier websites have this functionality and it is great for the user.

I think this is a user interface thing, rather than date popup. But I would like to second this feature request!

Rather than a default though, it should be another option in the dropdown - "Same as start date". Updated title to reflect this.

I suppose the thing to watch out for is if you change the start date after setting the end date: the end date should not then change to be the same as the start date. It should only happen once, when the start date is initially set.
