I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but if you go directly to add swf or flash content after enabling the module, it won't play (at least in Wijering). It will only play after http://drupal5/admin/media/swf/embed has been submitted.

Similar problem experienced by this user here. Although it seems it affects Firefox and not IE. The problem was fixed when they saved configuration!
