The menu items of contents created by other authors show up. The good thing! the content created by one author can not be accessed by other which is desired in my case. Clicking the links of those menus brings access denied message on screen. It would be nice not only contents but also the menu items by other authors to be hidden.

I tried to see some possible work around but it looks it requires major modification on Menu per role.

yeah, no way to do this with menu per role.
You could create a module that makes menu items for nodes, so it could use the node access for the menu items, which would be appropriate in your case.
