hello

i'm trying to make an travel site - where people can post their adventures, very similar to crafty traveler in fact (one of drupal cases in handbook).

My problem is that i want to have gallery assigned to each 'travel report' type node. So when user 'andy' posts travel report called 'my travel to spain' new gallery (term in image galleries) is created (called 'andy - my travel to spain' ). Then, user can post images to this gallery only (or to galleries that he created posting other 'travel report' nodes).

If this is not possible - please think up something else. I tried several approaches, but:

IMCE+IMCE Gallery - gallery is not typical node, and i want to assign galleries to nodes somehow.
CCK Imagefield - nice but what about slideshows and inline image inserting
IMG Assist - nice but what about mass upload and auto gallery creation...

What you are asking for is a fairly advanced feature, to my mind you will need a custom module to enable this.

Did you ever have any luck getting this done?

If you are considering having a module built, I might be up for co-sponsoring. I have a similar requirement for a project (which I'm pretty sure wouldn't compete with yours).

i have implemented this in two steps. User creates node type 'place', where he writes down all the text stuff (infos, links, adventures), then (when node is published), he sees link 'create gallery' (it is done by Node relativity module), and the galleries are created by Acidfree albums... not perfect, but works... now i cannot tell if i will be creating any modules for this site (it is rather for me and my friends only)

Hi,

The title says a lot.
Yes I would like to have the functionality to be able to add a node and a new taxonomy term in one screen please.
I only do voluntairy work with Drupal, so I can't cosponser, but may be somebody else also needs this functionality and is willing to participate with you.
