Please let's take sometime to discuss this issue of revenue shairng a bit deeper and make it clearer for everyone. Here i refer to the Google Adsense Module:
1. Why was the "enable revenue sharing" option provided?
2. If this is enabled, who tracks how revenue is shared? Is it the google Adsense module that does this, or does google have a mechanism for ads revenue sharing tracking?
3. If the website owners decides to checkout the clicks on adverts as recorded my the Adsense module and arives (manually) at the revenue due to the persons that submitted the content, there is one huge problem: Google throws away every click that it suspects as illegal click, whereas Adsense Module will record every click. This is a huge problem.
Has anyone on drupal ever used revenue sharing successfully? Please can such a one write out a step-by-step guide to how this was achieved?
You see what i hear in the other discussions is that all writers who wish to benefit on a site doing revenue sharing need to have Google Adsense accounts. Aside from the fact that this is impractical for a site with thousands of writers, it still leaves out the question: how does google know which account to credit (the website owner or the person who submitted the content), and how do they know about the revenue sharing formula, to enable them work it out?
Please comments will be highly appreciated. comment freely. thanks

Google pays out, the module
Google pays out, the module just enables a way of users entering in their own Adsense ad_client ID (pub-124xxx etc) - which is inserted into the JavaScript by Google when the ad is called (something like that, I am no expert) however that is in essence how it works.
It's not impractical either, each new writer can simply visit there profile page and enter their ID.
I agree however that it's ripe for abuse - whats to stop a rouge user clicking away on their own ads - and potentially getting your site banned from using Adsense per se?
Frankly though, I think it's quite a good thing when you have a close knit community, such as club or group of friends who all want to use their own Adsense accounts.
Your post is title 'A fresh look...' but you offer no fresh look, only pose questions and criticisms?
