I know there has been a big disagreement on another module (http://drupal.org/project/content_lock) but that has been restored now.

Please could we have this very-useful module back too?

I am using IMCE and IMCE Wysiwyg bridge instead of this now. It does the same (at least for D6).

I think a more likely scenario is that a new maintainer takes it over. See http://drupal.org/node/251466 for details on how to do that.

I'll offer to be a maintainer. I use this module quite a bit and want to keep it at least going through Drupal 6.

Per the project takeover process greggles linked to, I'm moving this to the drupal.org webmaster queue so it can be acted upon. It's clearly been more than two weeks, and I'd love to see a new maintainer of this project.
