Default preview image for youtube videos

I've added media module and youtube media module in order to use mediafront with my embedded youtube videos. All works well. But the player preview is blank until the video starts. The default thumbnail created by Media module shows in a mediafront playlist but the player itself has no preview image in the player?

So when I use a single node player without a playlist the player is blank even though there is a video loaded and ready to play. A user would not know this until they click on play. Shouldn't the player use the same default youtube image in the preview as it does in the thumbnails? I realize I can upload another separate image for my youtube video but that's an unusual extra step people dont typically do when they're embedding videos.
