I'm using the 2.x-dev version of Media Module, which by default creates 6 file entity types (image, video, etc.).
Title does not provide the 'replace' button for the FIlename of these file types...I tested Alpha 2 and -dev
Is this something that is planned and/or possible?

There is no "Edit" option for these new file entity types, thus I'm unable to select "Enabled, with field translation" under Multilingual....this may be why Title is unable to work on this file type.
Should I post this under the Media Module then?

plachAt the moment Title supports only core fieldable entities and so does ET, but they do not depend on each other in any way.
Since it's just matter of adding a couple of values in the entity info, I think the responsibility should be of the File Entity module.

devin carlson commentedA patch to add support for the Title module in order to allow the file name to be replaced by a field which can then be translated using Entity Translation.

Adding this functionality is important since there's currently no way to translate file names using Entity Translation and the Media Translation module requires significant updates to accommodate for the changes made in unstable 7.
