After I put the Ticket module directory into my Modules directory and visited the admin/modules page, I got MySQL error messages at the top that said something about ticket_ticket not existing. At that point in time, I checked the database, and none of the ticket tables had been created. After I checked the box to activate the Ticket module, the tables were created and the error messages went away.
