need to display distinct grouping field under main heading

I have just tried Views Accordion, and get a nice accordion on my page (views_accordion screenshot.jpg), but must be missing something. I have all my projects listed under the main heading (Service Type) and then would like to group them by State (underneath each Service Type). I would like to return/display a DISTINCT State record with multiple projects under each state. i.e. under Water Treatment, I would like only one Arizona listing, then group both the projects under that subhead/category. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
