Create an ECM with DRUPAL

haimoura - June 22, 2007 - 12:01

Hi,
my company (IDEIA) is building and ECM based on Drupal + OG (Organic Groups). We want a full ECM : CMS + DMS + Groupware (coffe module will come soon ! lol). To enhance Drupal we have selected this powerful products :

  • Knowledge Tree as a DMS kt Module
  • Roundcube WebMail
  • CalendarTechnique as a professionnal calendar
  • TimeSheets PHP as a time tracking

We are currently in the process of publishing the other modules to integrate all these components in Drupal.
KnowledgeTree integration module is already in the CVS.

We are still looking for powerful Project Management Module. What we want is an integrated Task manager with time Tracking and Gantt charts mainly. We have evaluated dotProject and so on, but many of these great product have duplicates functionnalities with Drupal, making integration more difficult, and less maintainable.

We are also digging LDAP connection and group management and how to connect groups between various products.

A group have been created to discuss these features Drupal ECM.

Any suggestion, comment, contribution is wellcome.

just wanted to say an advanced thanks

a tad off thread but I just wanted to say a big thank you for the work and contribution of the knowledge tree module. I use Drupal for several not-for-profit projects that lacked a robust DM solution and I think you have finally given us that. I didn't even know it was in serious dev until I chanced on your post.

Many thanks

I don't know if you're a subscriber or not already, but you might also be interested in a Drupal group discussing topics related to Document Management in relation to this module.

Cheers.

Thanks

The following quoted link is invaliid: group have been created to discuss these features "Drupal ECM"

Ns. The first time an abbreviation is used on a webpage, it shuld be defined.

Waht is ECM? What is CCK? What is DMS? (I now know this one.) What is KT? (I now know this one now, also.)

Be patiend with newbies, wean them into the clan. Expanding abbreviations on first use would help.

I must be a moron. I tried going down this path, thinking it was a good idea. All I did was get frustrated and waste a ton of time. I'll try again and possibly document my steps.

Did your group never get approved?

Or is your effort posting in another group? groups.drupal.org/ecm doesn't go anywhere.

Very interested in the direction your going. Have you looked at Drupal's workhorse Project module for task management? It's headed for Views integration and should become a very solid general utility module... especially with help!
