Online text/image conferencing

Does anyone one know module that form a chat room like discussion board for online meeting. The admin would invite selected individual to the meeting and they can post images or text base on the subject that is given. I have searched around but couldn't find any, the closest I found is video conferencing, but I do not need the video feature. To make myself even more clear, I'm looking for something like the google doc except it doesn't have to be real time synchronizing.
