Hello there!
Are there any good news about this project? Is it out there in a stable release yet?
Thanks in advance!

obisun commentedHi Dakala,
I believe the are quite a number of us out here that are really interested in your project. I've installed it and its really looking great, just like I'd wanted it.
Kindly let us know your projections for the project and of course some of us would be willing to help in any little way.
Cheers.

dakala2007 was a hectic year for me but I'm now in the posotion to give more time to this project. The problem is, Drupal 6 is coming out soon and phpEdu has to be ready for that release. And that's the goal.

Rosamunda commentedThjat´s excellent news!
But... you won´t make a 5.0 release of the module?
dakalaI could have released a Drupal 5.x version if I had much help but because of the size of the project there are no plans for doing this. Drupal 6 will be released soon and modules developers have already started porting. phpEdu for Drupal5 didn't even hit RC stage. I'm having to pull a finger out to get a stable version for 6.x out.

obisun commentedHi Guys,
I've been trying to install phpedu for about two weeks now. I think the most problem I have is that I cant seem to find any installation help documents for the module.
I tried instaling beta 2 on drupal 5.7 and got a handful of errors, especially when trying to configure the entry mode and clearance, etc. under the Admissions setting. At some point I kind of began to think I wasnt really getting the install & configuring procedure in the right order. So I switched to beta 1.0, which is kind of pre-installed. That is working well, as a matter of fact it seems to be working out so well for me, but I just cant help thinking there must be some modifications in the beta 2.0, which are not present in beta 1.0 and of course the developer wouldnt take out so much time to develop a beta 2.0 if it wasnt an improvement over the beta 1.0.
Its been quite a tough time working with the phpedu releases, but then I must say that phpedu is a very comprehensive work. I think that the most outstanding feature of the module is its ability to capture and handle students admission and course registration procedures for higher institutions, even though I've not fully tested it. I am actually trying to impliment the module on a production site for use in a particular higher institution.
I wish some one out there could lend some help. Has any one really installed phpedu on a production site and got it fully operational? If yes, kindly assist.
Cheers.

dakalaHi. Post #5 above explains the reasons for suspending work on the phpEdu for Drupal 5.x in favour of Drupal 6. This gives me time to focus on releasing a stable version in the nearest future. Follow news about the project at http://www.phpedu.org.uk.
