PhpEdu is a package for managing educational institutions with the ultimate aim of a complete Drupal e-learning solution. It is a set of modules which manage things like admission, academic programmes, faculties, departments, course registrations, online courses, attendance, fees, tests/exercises, academic records, alumni community among others.

This release marks the commencement of the beta cycle and installation is managed by the newly released phpEdu Installation Profile which has the following module dependencies.

  • install_profile_api

  • views

To install:

  1. download and unpack all the tarballs needed - Drupal core, contrib and phpedu modules
  2. move all the contrib and phpedu modules into sites/all/modules directory
  3. download the phpEdu Installation Profile and unpack the directory into the profiles directory
  4. create your database
  5. edit your sites/default/settings.php
  6. go to your website and continue the installation process

Note: Copy and paste the contents of the included template.php file into yours. At the moment, only the phptemplate engine is being supported.
