I am trying to uninstall lightbox2 while using Brilliant Gallery with thickbox as the overlay browser, but I cannot do that (uninstall lightbox2) since the module page lists it as a requirement by the Brilliant Gallery .

Is it really necessary to keep lightbox2 installed? If not, how can I uninstall it? The lightbox modules causes a lot of bugs on my site and I would really like to see it gone!
