Using a fresh install of Drupal on Rackspace, with only the modules required by mailhandler (there are a number of dependencies not listed in Install.txt ?). All settings for Mailhandler mailboxes and Feed importers are default.
Error is - "Mailhandler could not access the mailbox using these settings".
Also tried some adjustment to the mailbox settings as seemed appropriate.
Q1 - is there any troubleshooting available for this step?
Q2 - how important is this step in setup (I have been able to create and successfully test a mailbox, but that does not successfully create a node).

Can you please try 6.x-2.5? It includes some improved connection handling.

The 6.x-2.x-dev version that will roll tonight also includes some enhancements that may help you. Please try both 6.x-2.5 and 6.x-2.x-dev that rolls tonight.
