IMCE and ckeditor - like dogs and cats

this is amazingly buggy module

i mean when i try to browse for the image, it opens a new tab, in chrome i cant see it at all, i can only see it in firefox

but when i try to select the file, i can see the homepage embeded inside the imce window, where my file should be

is this so buggy or what, I think i am doing everything correctly, so why is this problem happening for god sake
